Mr. Bernard KLEYNHOFF, President of the CCINCA is well aware of the importance for the CCI Nice Côte of adopting a European strategy. Such a strategy should help increase the international visibility of the CCI, and in parallel promote the Côte d’Azur, its good practices and its companies, highlighting their expertise, and lead ambitious territorial projects and access new skills through the sharing of knowledge.
To open up these new networks and ways of working, Jean-Pierre HENRY, elected member of the CCINCA, has taken charge of the monitoring of these European activities. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an active partner of more than 150 entities, the majority of which are public, representing more than 400 contacts. Its hope is to develop partnerships oriented towards Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Greece) and the Mediterranean (Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan), with a presence throughout the Mediterranean with ASCAME, a cross border presence with EUROCIN, Alpmed, and a European presence with Eurochambres.
The strategy for CCI 2015 and the scope of its activities are currently being studied. Within this context, Jean-Pierre Henry and the European Unit have identified the themes that will reply to the needs of companies and the Alpes Maritimes during this period. These themes cover three main areas :
The projects or ideas for projects proposed by the European Unit in conjunction with the operational teams will be assessed against these three factors, as will the relevance of our positioning as project leader or partner. Since January 2010, 50 CCINCA employees have been involved in some fifteen European projects, representing a global budget of 3 million euros.
